I currently have trouble calling .gov.ph domains (e.g. #DFA) from here. In #Firefox I get "Server not found", the Linux #whois tool says "This TLD has no whois server." which should be the case: http://www.iana.org/domains/root/db/ph.html Also the #ICANN whois tools reports unsupported: https://whois.icann.org/en/lookup?name=dfa.gov.ph But according to the wayback-maschine, there were at least in 2013 in changes, since then nothing changed. Strange behaviour. :-/

!linux I'm finding the default 'whois' program on my Mint (LMDE) is not able to 'find' the registries for the new generic TLDs (e.g. .bike). Is there an alternative program that does have this capability? I often need to look up current status of a domain and I'd like to do that from the commandline... :( #whois #gTLD

@x11r5 You don't need to use the #whois database to send me #podcrawl photos. Don't you have a #G2 / #G3 / #Piwigo / #MediaGoblin gallery somewhere? Post them there, then post a link here.
