#qvitter nodes generate a value called 'external_url' that points to the original post on the original server. It is the one common piece of data all servers have about any one particular post.
QvitterPlugin.php I think this is it here.

@xikufrancesc a mí me parece muy cómodo. Pero la principal razón por la que uso #Qvitter es que avisa de las notificaciones y nuevos mensajes en tiempo real. -

sometimes bangtags to offsite groups such as !fediverse or !sn are showing up as hyperlinks automatically and other times not #newinterface ... also i wish that following said links would keep me onsite and gather #network mentions by query, which may be something i can set in preferences but is probably something to do with the !gnusocial source #qvitter .. said @nydel to zeself in a publicly-viewable test queet. -

!gnusocialde Darf man #Queets eigentlich nur so nennen, wenn man #Qvitter als Oberfläche benutzt? ;) (da ist ja anscheinend die Namensähnlichkeit her)
Oder werden diese in der klassischen GNUSocial-Oberfläche auch so genannt? Wenn ja, woher kommt den hier der Name?

Oder sind das zwei verschiedene Dinge? Wenn ja wer hat sich ausgedacht, dass so ähnlich zu benennen?

@moonman It is from the old #StatusNet times, I guess it needs rewrites/refacturing and intensive testing with #qvitter together. You can see it with "git log plugin/Bla/BlaPlugin.php" how long nothing has been changed. -
