And no, #BBC et al., the problem isn't that "Media playback is unsupported on [my] device", it's that the open standard for media playback isn't supported by you. #NoScript #HTML5

@cyberunions Yes you have new listeners. And they're coming from !gnusocial :]
I'm wondering however if you could add time tags (I think that should be pretty easy with an #HTML5 player and simple javascript - or people who don't use js can just manually go to the given timestamp). Since I generally have a hard time listening to full podcasts. :)

Just reminding everyone: #Netflix coerced the #W3C into implementing #DRM in #HTML5. They explicitly want to make it impossible for you to right-click and "Save image as...".

Well, #Udemy asked for feedback, so I gave it to them. "In 2015, requiring Flash player for viewing videos tells me you're stuck in 2002." #HTML5 #WebM

I attached a video to a notice on my local !gnusocial install. On pages containing that notice, #firefox complains some parts are sent unencrypted. Same thing for mp3. Are #html5 media elements sent unencrypted, even when the connection is through ssl? Or is it a problem with my install? I know there is an html5 encrypted media extension, https://w3c.github.io/encrypted-media/, but that's a different (and bad) thing.
