@mmn @lnxw48 What are the guys behind #Qt #Libreoffice #opensuse doing? Perhaps they may want to continue using/maintaining #gitorious. And more generally, it would be good to know where #gitorious users will be moving, to #gitlab or what. Is there a way for the community can react collectively to that?
@lnxw48 @mmn no, #gitlab has possibly abandoned it in favour of their proprietary software. Maybe the community will step up and take it over. Anyway. I won't register with gitlab, that is the wrong signal.

The good thing about this #gitorious #gitlab hubbub is that I discovered #phabricator. Looks really interesting, and has two hosters.
Regarding #GitLab moving #Gitorious data to their own servers using obscure, repeatedly failing solutions over simply rsync'ing (as they likely want to integrity check all the transferred files anyway ffs!): "<TakinOver> Their procedure just seems terribly ad-hoc.
