lnxw48 (Linux Walt) (lnxw48)'s status on Sunday, 04-Sep-2016 19:41:01 CEST lnxw48 (Linux Walt) I've heard about 60+ million #Dropbox passwords being leaked. I'm just now reading more about it. http://url.federati.net/2t-lw I hadn't realized that this is just fallout from the much earlier breach. Four years is a long time to delay admitting that everything may have been captured by crackers. Also, "a document" sounds suspiciously like it would likely have been a spreadsheet full of (likely unencrypted) details. Perhaps they are still being "economical with the truth" about the breach. -

lnxw48 (Linux Walt) (lnxw48)'s status on Monday, 01-Dec-2014 18:07:38 CET lnxw48 (Linux Walt) @knuthollund @nawi The reason this becomes an issue at all is because #ownCloud does not (as of the last version I installed) encrypt / decrypt at the client, so that server host is prevented from snooping. I realize that would break some of their features, but in our current environment, that is a necessity. You can use it as is now, but be sure to make it clear that end-to-end encryption will shortly be a required feature. (The same was true for #corpo https://fresh.federati.net/notice/149415
