mcscx (mcscx)'s status on Saturday, 17-Jan-2015 00:54:34 CET mcscx @holger I don't speak any Spanish :-\. Maybe @simsa0 & @moshpirit can keep an eye at quitter.zone's timeline & teach ppl to remote-follow - Roland Häder likes this.

mcscx (mcscx)'s status on Friday, 16-Jan-2015 15:54:46 CET mcscx @holger Subscribing from Q worked but from my Vinilox acct I got "FeedSubBadResponseException: 500". I did unsub first. Roland Häder likes this. -
mcscx (mcscx)'s status on Friday, 16-Jan-2015 17:19:33 CET mcscx @holger oh, you are very brave to already open your new server for open registration :-) -
mcscx (mcscx)'s status on Friday, 16-Jan-2015 17:21:41 CET mcscx @holger please back up your db & filesystem regularly :-) There were several cases of mysql db corruption. cc/ @morph -
mcscx (mcscx)'s status on Friday, 16-Jan-2015 20:24:31 CET mcscx @holger still slightly slow ;-) But usable! Maybe @hannes2peer has some performance tips for you. AFAIK turning off XMPP helped once Roland Häder likes this. -
mcscx (mcscx)'s status on Friday, 16-Jan-2015 20:32:47 CET mcscx @holger@quitter.info.tm looks like even static content loads slowly. Usually it's rather queuedaemons not catching up.How's the system load? -
Skratterciseterapeutens Leende (hannes2peer)'s status on Friday, 16-Jan-2015 23:28:40 CET Skratterciseterapeutens Leende @holger disable xmpp, use lots of queuedaemon threads, we're using 30, increase timebetweenpolling to, maybe 60000. Roland Häder likes this. -
Roland Häder (roland)'s status on Friday, 16-Jan-2015 23:34:27 CET Roland Häder @hannes2peer I have disabled #xmpp plugin and still my #home is super-slow. Any other hints (please take a look at my config.php: https://status.mxchange.org/file/config.phps -

lnxw48 (Linux Walt) (lnxw48)'s status on Saturday, 17-Jan-2015 00:02:39 CET lnxw48 (Linux Walt) @roland Is it any faster without #meteor? Also, do you have caching ( #xcache, #apc, #memcache, etc ) running? Roland Häder likes this. -
Roland Häder (roland)'s status on Saturday, 17-Jan-2015 00:06:56 CET Roland Häder @lnxw48 #apc and #xcache were both segfaulting (older days) so I kept them off. Maybe #xdebug should be disabled ... ;-) -
Roland Häder (roland)'s status on Saturday, 17-Jan-2015 00:17:34 CET Roland Häder @lnxw48 No, that was not the reason for slow-down. I also tried to "renice 19" some #java processes like #i2p and my #minecraft server, still no luck. Datbase is very well optimized. -
mcscx (mcscx)'s status on Saturday, 17-Jan-2015 00:30:05 CET mcscx @holger Now we need to teach people at quitter.zone how to find ppl on other instances and remote-subscribe to them. e.g. to @barbijaputa -
lnxw48 (Linux Walt) (lnxw48)'s status on Saturday, 17-Jan-2015 00:44:05 CET lnxw48 (Linux Walt) @roland Does the provider’s hardware have enough RAM & CPU available for your processes? Are you using fastcgi / fcgid / php-fpm instead of mod_php? Roland Häder likes this. -
Roland Häder (roland)'s status on Saturday, 17-Jan-2015 00:47:39 CET Roland Häder @lnxw48 I have 8 GB RAM on a Quad-Core: AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 605e Processor (/proc/cpuinfo). This should be enough. And I still have #mod_php5 instead of #fastcgi as it crashes to often and consumes to much RAM (yes, some other processes are needed). -
Roland Häder (roland)'s status on Saturday, 17-Jan-2015 00:48:59 CET Roland Häder @lnxw48 Which #memcache plugin do you recommend with a locally running memcached instance (yes, I know, it will not fully speed up)? #memcache or #memcached? -
lnxw48 (Linux Walt) (lnxw48)'s status on Saturday, 17-Jan-2015 01:10:36 CET lnxw48 (Linux Walt) @roland I’ve not used either. I generally use #xcache. Roland Häder likes this. -
simsa0 (simsa0)'s status on Saturday, 17-Jan-2015 01:16:02 CET simsa0 @mcscx @holger@quitter.zone @holger@quitter.info.tm I can do that, but only tomorrow in the evening. Also I'll try to write a Spanish language standard dent, so that folks can use it. @Holger, do you want me to have an eye both on quitter.info.tm and quitter.zone or only on the latter. @mcscx Do you know who is running Quitter.es ? The startpage and welcome text should be swcithed to Spanish as default, not English. cc @hannes2peer -
Holger (holger)'s status on Saturday, 17-Jan-2015 01:21:49 CET Holger @simsa0 This is great and a very useful help. Thx (y) -
simsa0 (simsa0)'s status on Saturday, 17-Jan-2015 02:08:46 CET simsa0 @mcscx @holger@quitter.zone @holger@quitter.info.tm @hannes2peer Two Spanish language text snippets for the most pressing cases: 1) how to send someone a note who is on a remote instance; 2) How to subscribe to someone who is on a remote instance. Best you put the snippets into docs to which you can link to. I'll be available again tomorrow evening. -------------------------- 1) ¿Cómo enviar una noticia a alguién en una instancía remota?
