@simsa0 even if you have the right to remove it (i doubt it), i don't think that's fair on the other people who has contributed to it

gnusocial admins: don't let trump move your tolerance for frisbee seeking. nazis are still nazis – block, silence, delete.

@hannes2peer qse's @simsa0 requested I send you this link: http://url.federati.net/CUjtO CC: @mcscx

@hannes2peer Concerning this I really like the TOS of gnusocial.de: https://wiki.gnusocial.de/en:gnusocialde:tos
-
@simsa0 i don't think you can do that. you wrote it collaboratively with others, and contributed it to the AGPLv3 licensed project !qvitter
-
@simsa0 i appreciate your work, but i can remove the credit/mention of you if you like.
-
@simsa0 it surprises me that you seem to have had no problem with the faq being used on slc, smuglio etc?
-
@simsa0 but i will of course remove it from the qvitter repo if someone i trust in license/copyright issues tell me i should
-
@hannes2peer for my part, I'm personally ok with the FAQ being removed, for the specific reason: 1) it's rather outdated anyway and deals with no-longer supported features like private groups and hidden accounts, 2) many parts go into too much detail or describe rather obvious things..
So the faq could IMO be removed/replaced with some other faq. However I also agree with your opinion: It can't be right if a contributor to a collaborative GPL-like work can ask to remove all their contributions any time later. This would be like Evan Prodromou or a Linux kernel developer asking to remove all their code lines from a work, 2 years later, after others have continued the work. @simsa0

@mcscx2 i agree, we need a better more up to date faq. but i'm worried people will get mad/sad if we suddenly remove it without replacement
-
@hannes2peer you could indeed use q.no's faq. I remember when @tom@s.karp.id.au announced working on it https://social.stormdragon.tk/conversation/96378#notice-100413
Here's the project site https://git.gnu.io/tom/social-doc
