My wife is now using !andstatus accessing her #GNUSocial account @dianalace . I think it is easy enough for her to use and not so "technical". Now I just wonder if there is a way to subscribe or unsubscribe users? I didn't found it yet. cc @andstatus

@roland There's some mysterious third factor that nonetheless causes inexorable progress. Maybe @question knows about that as well?
-
@roland hmm, I should get my wife on #OStatus. #TODO #noteToSelf #enlightenment
-
@roland to sub to a user known to your instance send post:
sub nick
(without @)
To unsub send:
unsub nick
I don't know if it still works
-
@mcscx2 that is maybe a bit to complex for her. I mean something like: tab on user avatar, choose subscribe if not or unsubscribe if already.
-
@roland to unsub in Andstatus: long-tap on an avatar, "Benutzer der Nachricht", long-tap on avatar again, "xxx nicht mehr folgen"
-
@mcscx Ah, okay. Maybe that is easy for her. :-)
-
long press the message. select "user(s) of message". then long press the user and you'll get an option to (un)subscribe.
-
@roland Seeing that message context menu is too long already I moved Follow/Unfollow actions to the "Users of message” list, as other pals noticed.
Maybe I have to duplicate this action in the Message context menu also...

@roland It's interesting, did your wife or you tried to search for an answer in the AndStatus User Guide?
I'm figuring out if extending it will really worth an effort.

@andstatus sadly nobody of us searched there. I tried it intuiative on my own. Still i think it is a good idea to document as much as possible.
