At least for primaries, I vote next door, so I doubt I'll need this, but it is still cool.

advance voting was readily available when I was in school. No idea what it is like in Minnesota. People are mostly just idiots and don't use it even though it exists in the US.

@daw I think $EMPLOYER theoretically offers this benefit, but such time off is of course subject to the organization's staff coverage needs. In any case, I'm permanently a vote-by-mail voter, so I won't ever need to take advantage of it.

@clacke #California offers vote-by-mail (postal "p-mail"). I think I've only voted one time in person since the middle of the #1990s. Every other election has involved a paper form and a postage stamp.
