Since three weeks ago and maybe more, I just and admire how the proprietary software ecosystem is fucked up.
Our security manager with the help of a contractor are installing Kaspersky End-point for a park with about 1300 computer and many servers.
The procedure is too complex for setting up a "kaspersky" server, deploy the thing to computers while ensuring that the solution really gets deployed on all machines on time and removes what gets on its way. Plus generating reports and stuff and many options. Our IT security manager is so stressed because since ~3 weeks, things are not yet fully ready. The team in charge of the project lives and sleeps of Kaspersky.
All this could be avoided if #microsoft did their job and provided a secure OS. Or if they allowed a repository system where this too complex deployment procedure was made simple. Or, or or.
What if they simply ditched Windows and opted for GNU/Linux?
