@kzimmermann @deavmi It looks like #Jython is now up to #Python 2.7. http://www.jython.org/ (I found Jython to be good in restrictive environments where #Java is already installed on most computers.)

@deavmi @kzimmermann it was my understanding that most of the #CLR is included in a standard (by ECMA) and that the relevant patents are licensed to all at zero-price. I'm still avoiding it (and therefore #Mono) for now, but I may be too cautious.

There is also a #Python implementation that runs on the #Java #JVM called #Jython. Last time I checked, it was around the Python 2.5 compatibility level, so years behind.
