I am going to be removing as many dead SN/GS instances as I can from the databases at !fragdev. If you notice any broken stuff… whoops! :D

@windigo Manuallly?
-
@windigo See @mmn, here, some fool willing to mess up with is database! We're surrounded by fools! :D #cleanup
-
@postblue Is there an un-manual way to do it? Because I'd like that, please.
-
@windigo Is @mmn working on something similar already? I remember hearing about an upcoming feature to prune dead remote accounts. Maybe a similar feature to prune dead instances is also in the works.
-
@n2admin Whatever makes it give my CPU back. I think I'll start pruning on my own in the meantime. :)
-
@windigo It'd be cool if you documented what you did, which queries you used etc. Then I could PHPify it without too much effort and put it in a maintenance script.
-
@n2admin "working on" is such a diffuse term. ;)
-
@mmn Can do - although it might be more of a cautionary tale than a example to follow. ;)
-
@windigo I had the same discussion about cleanup tools with @mmn a week ago. No there's not.

@windigo You might also check to see whether @x11r5 is mining #botcoins. On a serious note, I know that a lot of the distributed computation projects (e.g., BOINC, distributed\.net) and of course #YaCy #p2p search can produce high CPU loads (and they also tend to slurp RAM the way your nine year old nephew slurps ice cream cones).
