I want to read the public timeline, but would love to be able to exclude spammy users from my view (eg. here on loadaverage we have @mauthausengusen and I don't speak Spanish and I don't care about its news that it posts every 7 minutes).
Blocking apparently doesn't change a thing, it only disallows them to follow me, but doesn't expunge their posts from my timelines. There is however no mute functionality from what I could see...
Do you !gnusocial people have any ideas I could try?
-
@phl Blocking is meant to do that. Continue reporting it and I'll eventually make sure the bug is fixed :)
-
@phl Possibly ping !gnusocial for this question...
-
@phl Feel free to post a feature request on https://git.gnu.io/gnu/gnu-social/issues :) I go through those lists once in a while.
-
@aurochs My bad! I was cleaning stuff and accidentally washed away some qvitter background/profile stuff :)
-
@hundur I can confirm that blocking doesnt work on quitter.se classic public timeline. I thought it was only implemented in Qvitter
-
@aurochs Correct, I won't bother go digging in backups for some single image :P Reuploading should work just fine.
