@mcscx How can I subscribe to @heluecht Don't see a box on his page for entering my address. How did you do it?
- Roland Häder likes this.
-
https://pirati.ca/profile/heluecht seems to be okay when you enter it as remote address in your GNU Social account.
-
@roland Yes ! (Worked fine) Sometimes I forget ;-)
-
@roland ... and I just saw that Quitter added some info concerning that in the remote following section. Very good.
-
@simsa01
– Classic mode
– on your profile page: +Remote
– Enter @heluecht's URL: https ://pirati.ca/profile/heluecht
– Confirm
-
@mcscx Yes. @roland reminded me of that & it works. Nice to see that the FAQ has been updated on remote following. >
-
@mcscx Spanish version of the FAQ should be updated accordingly. Hmm, let's see ...
-
@mcscx @roland @simsa01 @heluecht
I did a little trick in !qvitter view page - direct link to https://social.example.com/main/ostatussub - then I get the window to insert the address :-)
-
@oldsimsa0account @mcscx welcome. :-) And I'm glad it worked.
-
@simsa01 Or you could go to https://pirati.ca/profile/heluecht and click on the link that directs you to this page: https://pirati.ca/dfrn_request/heluecht
-
@hikerus Oh, links says "Server not found". Is it me or somewhere else?
-
@simsa01 The address was an example, you have to change to your server address.
-
@hikerus yes. There ought to be a link to #ostatussub in the !qvitter ui and some words like "paste the remote profile URL into the box"
-
@heluecht Ah, I see. I saw that page, but then clicked on link of «StatusNet/Federated Social Web» which brought me here http://qttr.at/1301
-
@mcscx Yes would be a good idea - more features in !qvitter will come - I am sure :-)
-
@heluecht So, I was confused about the line «Adresse Deines Profil» as I expected it *after* the mentioned link. Silly me.
-
@hikerus Ah, well, I don't run a server, I just have several accounts on existing nodes.
-
@simsa01 No. Again. When you are logged in in quitter.se - you can click on https://quitter.se/main/ostatussub and then you have directly the window to insert the remote URL of an account you want to follow.
-
@hikerus Yes, in Quitter I used this option, as it is already mentioned in the FAQ.
-
@simsa01 Ok - and when you are logged in an other !gnusocial you have to change the link to the URL of this server.
-
@hikerus That info is helpful. It works on Micro.Fragdev.
-
@mcscx @hikerus This would be helpful.
