#youtube in #firefox only gets 360p resolution but if i try with #chrome i get all the resolutions !linux
-
@ghostdancer You need to install the appropriate codecs. #Firefox delegates some of the decoding to the OS. Out of the box Firefox can only play 320p in youtube but in fedora with all the codecs enabled, it plays up to 780p, then with some tweaking it plays 4k. Non-free codecs are not needed; don't bother installing them.

@dragnucs my problem is that till now , maybe thsi week , it played them but now suddenly has changed, i'll check codecs and configs, thanks

@ghostdancer That sounds like a bad upgrade.

@ghostdancer We really need an alternative #GTK3 + #Gecko web browser.

@dragnucs i updated now to the latest ff version and now i get 2 resolutions 360 and 720 , not all of them but at least one is HD.

@ghostdancer that problem is new to me. I use Firefox 31 + Debian Wheezy and Iceweasel 38 + Debian Jessie with > 360p
