I want to finish my training assistant application and make it post logs to !gnusocial. But I can't find any exstensive documentations except reading other applications like #Yaics and @andstatus to see how they use the API.
@lnxw48 This really doesn't help. What I actually try to do is to create an new post type, put training session log in there in a structured way and just a summary in the normal field. Optionally some graph as attachment image. So just posting using some curl isn't usufle to my use case. I need something or someone to detail how constructing and deconstruction a notice works.
@dragnucs@quitter.no Maybe you don't need to write that communication part of your application at all?! Just share your log messages via AndStatus (via ANY preconfigured account!). The same for reading logs, if you need this. I can extend the "Share via AndStatus" API to do this sharing without opening UI?!
@dragnucs@quitter.no You may send your "customized post type" inside a "stock' post body, transparently for AndStatus and GNU Social?! Or you need _one_ apk without any configuration and "integration"?!
@andstatus I am working on an application that tracks training performances. The application is now written in #Python and #GTK and work only on desktop. From day one, I wanted to give the application a social feature. I didn't knew about the !fediverse and I just decided that it would be a #phpBoost module. Now, I think it would be better if the social feature was federated. If I just put the content in plain text, then the social feature would be purposeless…
