Is it useful to compare software to food as far as ethics and transparency are involved?

@ericxdu23 yes, quite a bit. #RMS made such comparison in the #Linux movie (I don't remeber the exact name). The written source code is like a reciept for a meal you want to cook. You can change ingredients and get a different result. Now imagine that there are companies that will sue you for doing so and they will sent you in prison for years. Something like that he said there.

@ericxdu23 I don't know that it is accurate to think the food industry is in any way ethical. There is a reason the FDA was created. I just hope there is never a need to create an analogous "Software Administration"
