Well, after #gitorious aquisition, is there any public services like it? I need git, wiki, bugtracker in minimum. Or should I set up my own?
-
@pztrn Well, @sazius (and dozens of other #FLOSS devs) asking the same thing.
-
@pztrn How about #savanah on #gnu.org?
-
@lnxw48 well, I have some 8gb/4core machine to spare for public forge for #floss projects. I'm curious, is someone interested in that?
-
@roland Is that me, or UI is bad? :)
-
Yeah, you can tell it was forked from an old version of SourceForge's software.
-
@pztrn if you mind UI design over a non-profit service, then this is nothing for you.
-
@roland if you think that UI design isn't important in non-profit service/software/whatever, that you know nothing about users ;) Even developers want to use comfortable interfaces while developing comfortable interfaces. Take a look on these gitlabs, githubs, etc.

This one looks interesting: https://notabug.org/

@pztrn Sure, some people/developers mind that, but I don't. :-) And that is also why I use #FVWM-Crystal here and not overloaded #KDE or #GNOME. It must be: resource-friendly (less RAM, HDD and CPU usage) and reliable (runs stable). I don't mind this "comfortable" what other software may provide.
-
@roland we all have our #pov here :)
-
@pztrn Yes, sure we all have.

Golang for the win! http://gogs.io/
-
@pztrn Why not just host Gitorious software then? I think people will like to have a successor.
-
@xrevan86 who will help to develop it? I have no ruby dev knowledge and do not want to know it.
-
@pztrn Maybe some users who'll care :-)? That would be an interesting experiment.
-
@xrevan86 If some interested users will continue to develop it - why not?
