@mmn I see more mixing of #Profile and #User classes. Should we better keep both "separated" from each other? User should be around the user (account) itself, such local authentication, email verification and all the user's data. Profile is for the rest of it, such as #Salmon callback, #FeedSub and such which has nothing directly to do with the user. What do you think? cc !gnusocial

@roland I think maybe someone should draw a proper object/class diagram - with definitions of what each class represents. @mmn
-
@roland That commit is like that just because it's not migrated to the Profile_prefs table yet. Everything, unless there's a really good argument, should be accessed through the Profile class.

@mk @mmn Yes, that would be very helpful. :-)
-
@mk @roland I think someone should pay someone to do boring stuff.
-
@mmn Hmm, so #Profile is in your view more a "facade" of #User?
-
@mmn drawing object diagrams is not boring stuff. an it tends to save work down the line :)
-
@mmn yes, sure. I like hacking more over doing theoretical things. :-)

@roland User only exists as an archaic representation of a local user on the system. Its only current use is to store a password, email and some various local user configuration.
