Roland Häder (roland)'s status on Sunday, 08-Feb-2015 14:18:27 CET Roland Häder @jbfavre for me !gnusocial has become nicely stable with latest changes to #master branch from #gitorious. Well, i dont use all plugins, sure no #twiiter or #facebook bridge as both send my/user's data to companies with profit-orientation. But you dont get any profit back from them which renders you as their "prostitute" indirectly. -

Erkan Yılmaz (erkan)'s status on Sunday, 08-Feb-2015 14:31:20 CET Erkan Yılmaz I remember seeing some !gs bugs in the bugtracker by you. Were you using the mainline (aka stable) or nightly (aka dev) branch? cc @mmn Roland Häder likes this. -
mmn (mmn)'s status on Sunday, 08-Feb-2015 14:34:21 CET mmn @erkan, @jbfavre was using the master when I pushed it back then. I've gone through the list recently and commented/updated/thought about some of the stuff. I was unable to reproduce at least one of the bugs (none of the Twitter ones for good reason) and I think one of them have been fixed. -
Erkan Yılmaz (erkan)'s status on Sunday, 08-Feb-2015 14:55:37 CET Erkan Yılmaz well, I considered the mainline as a stable (e.g. more than the nightly), but you are right, there is no official stable version -

mmn (mmn)'s status on Sunday, 08-Feb-2015 18:13:40 CET mmn Well, I seem to remember linking the commit that fixed the issues. You can continue using the version that worked for you and apply the simple security fix that was the reason you tried GNU social in the first place. -

Jean Baptiste Favre (jbfavre)'s status on Sunday, 08-Feb-2015 19:15:41 CET Jean Baptiste Favre Not sure you know it, but I was one of the first to switch from statusnet to gnusocial. So no, I didn't tried !gnusocial after your security warning. And since there's no stable release, I've to stick onto master branch, which is not bug-proof :-/ -
Jean Baptiste Favre (jbfavre)'s status on Sunday, 08-Feb-2015 19:17:24 CET Jean Baptiste Favre I enjoyed being there too. I found valuable software and people, dedicated to a decentralized Internet. That said, I've to admit I'm a bit tired with !gnusocial bugs, and have less time to fix them than before. -
Jean Baptiste Favre (jbfavre)'s status on Sunday, 08-Feb-2015 19:18:28 CET Jean Baptiste Favre I don’t want to continue without a stable release I can rely on. And the willing to kick out TwitterBridge does help
